Warranty

By making this purchase from Chris Auto Recyclers (referred to as CAR), the purchaser has agreed to be legally bound to all terms of sale, warranty, return, and refund stated herein. These terms cannot be altered in any way. This agreement is provided to the original purchaser and is not transferable, and does not cover damage due to misuse, neglect, or accident. CAR is not responsible for damage, loss or labor. CAR shall not be responsible in any form or fashion for the payment of damages, other than the sum specified in this agreement and limited warranty, for incidental or consequential loss or damage arising from injuries, loss of use, loss of time, rental vehicles, towing, shipping cost, or income as a result of failure for any item contained within this agreement.

GENERAL TERMS OF SALE
1. All warranties will be stated on invoice. Any "AS IS NO WARRANTY" parts are non-returnable.
2. Deposits are non-refundable and are set to a time limit. All deposits will be lost and will not be refunded after the set time limit.
3. Parts are sold for normal road use. Extreme applications such as any form of racing and off-road use are not covered by any warranty and are not eligible for refund or replacement. Any oversized rims/tires and or lift kits will void the warranty.
4. CAR warranties all parts and assemblies to be free of any defects(less normal wear and tear incurred prior to and after the sale) for the period stated on the front of the invoice. During the warranty period, CAR is obligated to only honor the part for the remainder of the warranty. If a replacement part is given, it is warrantied for the remainder and a new warranty will not be given for the replacement part.
5. Improper installation will void all warranties and release CAR from any refund or replacement obligations.
6. If a product is defective and a replacement is not available, then store credit will be issued. A refund will not be given. All store credit will be issued with a set time limit and all credit must be used before the set time limit. After the set time limit, all store credit will be void and not useable.
7. If the customer alters or disassembles the part in any form or fashion, he or she voids any and all warranties and surrenders any/all return/refund rights.
8. Customer must obtain and keep all paperwork associated with the purchase and installation of the part. This includes original invoice, receipts for any parts, supplies, installation, service, etc. All paperwork and installation documentation is required to validate any warranty claims. Not having proper paperwork will void the warranty.
9. Any and all parts must be installed by an ASE certified mechanic and/or mechanic shop. Warranty will be void if parts are not installed by a certified mechanic and/or mechanic shop.
10. Any returned part/s may be subject to a 20%-50% restocking fee. The restocking fee will be deducted from the original amount on the invoice and the remainder of the amount will be store credit.
11. Customer must keep their old original item until the warranty expires. CAR has the right to request our item and the buyer's old original item for warranty.
12. Buyer is responsible for inspecting and comparing parts before installation. If parts are visibly different please contact us at CAR. We are not responsible if parts are different and cause damage to your vehicle.

SHIPPING -CAR is not responsible for shipping and handling cost. CAR is not responsible for any damages or loss of items during shipping. It is the buyer's responsibility to pay for any and all shipping charges. The buyer is responsible for any and all freight claims. CAR will not pay, reimburse or refund any amount due to shipping error and/or damages during shipping. CAR is not responsible for filing any damage claims. It is the buyer's responsibility to file any and all freight claims. Any returned parts with charges owed will be refused. Any returned parts that have damage will be refused. Any returned part/s may be subject to a 20%-50% restocking fee. There is no return on cut items or special orders. Any "as is no warranty" part will be refused and a refund will not be issued. At the time of purchased, you will be asked if the freight item will be shipped to a residential address or a commercial address and also if liftgate is needed. There is a $75 residential delivery fee and a $50 liftgate fee. Please be honest at the time of purchase. If residential delivery and/or liftgate fees are not paid for at the time of purchase then they will be charged to your credit/debit card when our bill is received. A business ran out of a house, a farm, and a school will not be considered a business in a commercial location.

ENGINES-Warranties do not cover gasket leaks, engine and coolant leaks, accessory items such as electrical components, fuel systems and fuel parts, water pump, thermostat, manifolds, oil pan, flywheels, clutch, valve covers, seats, filters, fluids, installation supplies, mounts, linkages, timing belts, timing chains, tensioners, balancers and gears(external or internal). Any of these items that need to be replaced are the responsibility of the purchaser and may void the warranty if not properly inspected or replaced. Radiator must be replaced or void of warranty. All documentation will be required for warranty. Professional installation is required or warranty is void. Customer must keep their original item for any and all claims. Any damage cause by any of the non-warrantied parts listed will automatically void the warranty.

TRANSMISSIONS/TRANSFER CASES-Warranties do not cover fluid leaks, gaskets, seals, linkage, plugs (internal or external), sensors (internal or external), shift solenoids, tail housings, oil pans, filters, torque converter pump and torque converters. Any transmission or transfer case placed in a vehicle with oversized tires/rims will be or engine modifications will result in void of warranty. Any of these items that need to be replaced are the responsibility of the purchaser and may void the warranty if not properly inspected or replaced. All documentation will be required for warranty. Professional installation is required. Customer must keep their original item for any and all claims. Any damage cause by any of the non-warrantied parts listed will automatically void the warranty.

REAR ENDS/DIFFERENTIALS/CARRIERS-Warranties do not cover fluid leaks, seals, linkage, wires, cables, rotors, calipers, backing plates, U-joints. Any of these items that need to be replaced are the responsibility of the purchaser and may void the warranty if not properly inspected or replaced. All documents will be required for warranty. Professional installation is required. Customer must keep their original item for any and all claims. Any damage cause by any of the non-warrantied parts listed will automatically void the warranty.

AC COMPRESSORS-Warranties do not cover loss of refrigerant, plugs, clutch assembly, belts. A new receiver, dryer, and screen must be installed with the compressor or warranty will be void. Professional installation is required.

DRIVESHAFTS-There is no warranty on driveshafts. Any damaged caused by a defective driveshaft is not covered by CAR.

AIR BAGS/SAFTEY RESTRAINTS-There is no warranty or returns on air bags or air bag parts. Professional installation is required.

ELECTRICAL-There is no warranty on electrical items such as ECMs, BCMs, TCMs, modules, wires, wiring harness, spark plugs, sensors(internal and internal), distributors, coils, fuel rails, injectors, engine control modules, transmission control modules, body control modules, plugs, door modules, suspension modules, key less entry modules, fuel pumps, air flow sensors, etc. All electrical parts are sold as is no warranty no returns

BODY PARTS-There is no warranty or return on body parts, lights, frames, cabs, doors, fenders, hoods, bumpers, core supports, header panels, grilles, truck beds, quarter panels, cab clips, rocker cuts, trunk lids, tailgates, sunroofs, glass, etc. All parts are sold as is no warranty no return. We do not guarantee paint color or paint condition.

FRAME/SUSPENSION PARTS-There is no warranty on frame or suspension parts such as CV axles, frames, frame cuts, spindles, knuckles, hubs, control arms, leaf springs, driveshafts, k-frames, crossmembers, rack and pinions, gear boxes, steering linkage, tie rods, etc. All parts are sold as is no warranty.

CLAIM PROCEDURE/RETURNS-CAR has the right to inspect any and all parts prior to replacement. If the customer refuses to make the vehicle and/or part available for inspection, he or she risks forfeiture of their rights to make a claim under this warranty. All documents and receipts must be available at the time of inspection along with original invoice. Improper paperwork and receipts may void warranty on the part/s. Professional installation is required or the warranty will be automatically voided. Customer must contact us before removing part. Removal of parts before returning and/or inspection will most likely void the warranty. CAR has the right to request the buyer to take their vehicle to one of our selected preferred shops for second opinion and/or inspection before replacing parts. If customer refused to have the vehicle inspected by one of our preferred shop or a CAR employee he or she may void their warranty. Customer is responsible for all damage claims.

CORES/CORE DEPOSIT-CAR has the right to charge or request return of the old original item within a set time limit. The customer must keep their old original item until the warranty expires. If a core deposit is paid at the time of purchase, then the buyer has 2 weeks to return the core for a refund of the core deposit. After 2 weeks the core charge is non-refundable. If a core charge or core return is required but not paid at the time of purchase, then the buyer has 7 days to return the core. If the core is not returned within 7 days, the warranty will be voided. Buyer must have original receipt at the time of core return.
